Hooked On Books

Top Ten Tuesday: Books TBR this Summer

      1. The Ice Cream Girls by Dorothy Koomson

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

This chick lit/ women's fiction novel follows the story of two vulnerable teenage girls who were accused of murdering a schoolteacher, seventeen years on they are forced to confront each other and their shared history. Loved the TV series but am excited to relive the great plot twists throughout!

2. Rules of Attraction by Simone Elkeles

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

YA novel, second in the 'Perfect Chemistry' series.

Hoping this read is as good as the first!

3. Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

'A YA contemporary about friendships, love, adventure, summer, and self-discovery.'

Sounds perfect for a summer read.

4. Looking for Alaska by John Green

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Heard so much about this novel and am a big fan of John Green after reading 'The Fault in Our Stars' earlier this year, can't wait to finally read this summer!

5. Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

A romantic comedy, sounds perfect for a light read in the summer.

6. The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Reviews highly recommend this 'unique plot,' a romance which guarantees laughter and tears is my idea of a perfect YA novel.

7. The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Adored the movie based on the book and cannot wait to find out whether the novel is just as heartwarming and humorous!

8. You're the One That I Want by Giovanna Fletcher

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

I read Giovanna's first novel 'Billy and Me' earlier this year and instantly fell in love with it, excited to read more from her!

9. Love is a Thief by Claire Garber

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

Described as 'the perfect chick-lit to sit down and relax with' which is exactly what I intend to do this summer!

10. The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

☼ ☼ ☼ ☼ ☼

A women's fiction novel. The character Cecilia discovers a letter in which her husband confesses to a terrible mistake which, if revealed could ruin their family. A perfect juicy read for the summer which I can't wait to dive into.
